Arts/Industry residency program, John Michael Kohler Arts Center at Kohler Co., Kohler, Wisconsin, USA
April-June 2015
My slip cast cups were created in Arts/Industry, a long-term residency program of the JMKAC in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Arts/Industry takes place at Kohler Co. factory. These works are a continuation of my paper cups works, transformed into the more stable and durable ceramic material. The inspiration for each cup was drawn from the place in which I was working at that time. The Kohler cup, for instance, was inspired by the factory`s architecture and surroundings. In the Israel and the USA cups, one can see the most famous icons of each country.
